"The Value of Small Groups / Specialty Groups as Part of the Local Church"

Synopsis:
David Yonggi Cho, founder of the Yoido Full Gospel Church in South Korea, was an originator of the cell group model, which aided in creating the world’s largest congregation with a membership of 830,000 (2007); this community growth concept has since evolved to include the idea of specialty groups. This past Thursday, Pastors chaplains, and other church professionals discovered how to develop successful small groups / specialty groups within the local church and community. Additionally, attendees also learn the keys to a vital cell based church that is founded on the biblical model of fellowship. Attendees were presented with live testimonies and a game plan on how to break through to reach people in precise niches where God’s power can he released on a personal level. As evidenced by overwhelming praise for Maria’s presentation, the seminar was a huge success.

Speaker Profile
Maria Younger, MA, is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oklahoma. Having been in practice for over twenty years, Maria has worked with a variety of populations to include adults, adolescents, and children. An active member of Victory Christian Center, Maria leads a weekly cell group at Victory’s Tulsa Dream Center (an intercity outreach located on 46th Street North just west of Boulder Ave) called Overcomers: Overcoming Addictions and Compulsive Behaviors.
