Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder Seminar
This past Thursday, December 15th 2005,
Renewal Christian Care, a program of Brookhaven Hospital, hosted a luncheon
entitled "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder." The seminar, one
of several quarterly free luncheons provided by the hospital, was a
success. Carol Langdon M.A. L.M.F.T., a counselor at Life Connection
Counseling Center and the founder of Going Beyond Inc., presented insightful
information about the disorder. Pastors, clergy, chaplains and church
professionals throughout Oklahoma were in attendance.

Carol Langdon, MA, LMFT
Carol
J. Langdon, M.A., LMFT, B.C.E.T.S., B.C.E.C.R., B.C.B.T., Fellow
American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, is a Licensed Marital
and Family Therapist, a Clinical Member of the American Association
for Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Board Certified Expert
in Traumatic Stress and Diplomate of The American Academy of Experts
in Traumatic Stress. Ms. Langdon has completed a two-year post graduate
training in marriage and family therapy and a two-year internship
in Advanced Trauma Therapy. She is a Certified Domestic Violence
and Master Addictions Counselor and specializes in treating the
effects of trauma in families and children. Ms. Langdon provides
services as a consultant to The Center for Diagnostics and Rehabilitation
for children in Kaliningrad, Russia. Ms. Langdon is Founder and
President of Going Beyond, Inc., a non-profit corporation providing
humanitarian assistance to orphans and war veterans nationally and
internationally. She has provided treatment for Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder to veterans and families of the Afghanistan war that live
in the Kaliningrad region of Russia.
