Surviving the Sorrow Storms

Presenter: Marcia Howland, MA

Date: Thursday, February 23, 2006

Synopsis:

Surviving the Sorrow Storms

As a pastor, it is necessary to understand the complexity of human need during a time of loss. During Brookhaven's February Minister's Luncheon, Marcia Howland, Community Resources Coordinator for Odyssey Health Care, discussed how the loss of a loved one affects the family unit and how pastoral staff can aid in moments of need. Practical application and group exercises were included in Marcia's thorough talk. Her message was received well by Tulsa area Pastors and clergy; many stated that the information Marcia provided was vital for Pastor's that provide encouragement to so many in times of grief.
