Renewal Seminar Snapshots

"Pregnancy Loss, Post Abortion Trauma, and Unreolved Grief"

Presenter: Mary Lee Ingram, LCSW

Date: 12-10-2009

Synopsis:

By the age of 45, one out of every three women in the US has had an abortion. Of those who have experienced abortion, up to 70% report that they are morally opposed to abortion. Many are people of faith. Some clients have or have had a loved one affected by this type of pregnancy loss. The stress is amplified when clients are unable to speak openly with family, friends, loved ones and medical/ mental health providers about this intense loss and their grief. During her workshop, Mary reviewed the impact of pregnancy loss through abortion and introduced Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats, a post abortion healing program for women and men who are suffering from the pain of abortion.
