Rolf B. Gainer, Ph.D., Diplomate ABDA, is the Chief Executive Office at Brookhaven Hospital and the Vice President of Rehabilitation Institutes of America. He is the founder of the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute of Ontario (Canada). Dr. Gainer is a psychologist who has been involved in the design and operation of treatment programs since 1977. He has published numerous articles on mental health and rehabilitation topics and has presented at many international conferences. He remains active in outcome research.
Mark D. Gage, DO, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven Hospital. He is board certified in psychiatry and is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences. In addition to his studies in psychiatry, Dr. Gage completed his undergraduate work in psychology at Chapman University. He brings over seventeen years of experience in psychiatry to Brookhaven.
Liphard D’Souza, MD, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven’s Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven. Dr D’Souza holds multiple board certifications in Neurology. He obtained his medical training at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalor, India, and was an Associate Professor at Oral Roberts University School of Medicine at the City of Faith Hospital. He has worked in hospital, agency and private practice settings for over 32 years.
Chisoo Choi, MD, is an Internal Medicine Consultant for Brookhaven and the Renewal Christian Care Program. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Choi graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine.
Paul Cochran, MD, is a graduate of University of Oklahoma Medical School and holds board certifications in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Psychiatry. His experience includes founding and operating free clinics, practicing emergency medicine in area hospitals and serving as the Director of EMS Boards for Wagoner and Creek counties.
Charles D. Van Tuyl, MD earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1972 with primary concentration in Central Eurasian Studies. He taught at Bacone College, Muskogee, Oklahoma before changing from the teaching to the medical profession. He earned an M.D. from the University of Oklahoma in `1987. Dr. Van Tuyl has been a psychiatrist in McAlester, Oklahoma and Tulsa, Oklahoma and has also published several scholarly books including a Handbook of the Cherokee Verb and a translation of Athanasius Kircher’s China Illustrata (1667) from the original Latin into English.
Naveen Kumar, MD, is a Board Certified Consultant Psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine Specialist at Brookhaven Hospital. He obtained medical training at JJM Medical College in Karnataka, India and completed Psychiatry Residency training at Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Kumar has previous experience in hospital, agency, and private settings for 15 years.

Rev. Don Smith Jr. is senior chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital’s Renewal Christian Care Program. Don is licensed and ordained through the Southern Baptist Convention and has been on staff at various churches since 1982 He has held church staff positions as Student Minister, Worship Minister and Sr. Pastor. Don is currently Sr. Pastor of a local Tulsa church. He has been with Brookhaven since December 2010.
Elizabeth Anderson, is a Chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital.
Leslie Patterson, is a Chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital and is associated with the International Ministerial Fellowship. She has completed her Biblical studies and is an Ordained Minister. Leslie is continuing her education at Oral Roberts University in Ministry and Leadership with a concentration pf Pastoral Care and a minor in Psychology. Her experience has been in crisis counseling for five years with various organizations. Leslie has been with Brookhaven for 2 years.
Rev. Lydia Gonzalez D’Ross aka Lilly, is the new Renewal Outreach Chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital. She is an ordained and licensed minister and also serves as an International Federation Chaplain. Lydia is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a Diploma in intensive Ministry and Training Development. She is a member of several advisory boards including the OMHSAS System of Care, Oklahoma Women of Status Commission and Chair, and other mental health task force committees. Lydia has been with Brookhaven since the Summer of 2014 and brings to Brookhaven Hospital, over 30 years of health and human services experience and a life time volunteer expertise from array of disciplines.
