RENEWAL is designed to offer hope and comfort to people suffering from mental health disorders or addiction disorders, and support to the people who love them. Our approach is based on respect for the dignity of the people we serve and the belief that through a faith-based program, life-changing results are possible.

RENEWAL: Christian Treatment and Recovery is an optional treatment supplement available through Brookhaven Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At Brookhaven, we understand that when you are suffering from an eating disorder, a personality disorder, a behavioral health disorder or chemical dependency, life can seem utterly hopeless. It can cause Christians to feel abandoned and distant from God. However, by strengthening your spirituality, in conjunction with our professional medical services, you can experience results that you never thought were possible.

RENEWAL is based on the belief in:

God who created us and loves us (Genesis 1:26)
Jesus Christ who redeems us (Isaiah 53:5)
The Holy Spirit who guides us (Acts 1:8)

When you participate in RENEWAL, you’re part of something much bigger than yourself. Brookhaven clients receive expert care from our team of mental professionals. Treatment is solution-focused and success-oriented. Our goal is to minimize symptoms, help individuals address life problems and live fulfilling lives. Sometimes healing requires a helping hand. Valentine’s Day is one of the most widely celebrated unofficial global holidays.

I enjoy the month of February and the celebration of Valentine’s Day. It makes me reflect on how much our heavenly Father loves his children. This month, we not only celebrate African American Heritage, the remembrance of the late Dr. Martin Luther King and President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday; we also celebrate love.

This season of love reminds us to be kind, to be patient, not to envy, not to boast or be proud. As love is not rude, not self-seeking, not easily angered and keeps no score card of our own faults or of others.

Man may fail God, but God’s love never fails.  “Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love others as yourself (Mark 12:30-31).””[Jesus said,] I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other (John 13:34).” He said the love we have for one another will prove to the world that we are his followers (John 13:35).

Valentine’s Day can also signify feelings of being forgotten, unloved or lonely.  Don’t fall in the feeling of inadequacy, comparison or guilt on this Valentine’s Day.  But allow these scriptures to minister to you instead. For God says to you in His Word that “You are [His] treasured possession. No one loves you like me [Yaweh].  Exodus 19:5 May you be comforted that you are God’s “precious one, you might not know me, but I know you like none other.” Psalm 139:2

Reach to those who may feel lonely as we celebrate Valentine’s Day, and show some mercy and love to them!
