“When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.” Ecclesiastes 7:14
We can never predict what our future holds. We need only to deal with the present. We can choose to be happy every day. Circumstances beyond our control can steal our joy. When things start to go wrong, we can choose to decide whether we allow our emotions to control us instead of working toward controlling our emotions. It is a work in progress, but not impossible. Habits are formed every day. Good habits and bad ones, and we have a choice about which ones to form. By making one decision, right now, before the new year gets underway, you can decide that this will be your year! Make a decision to kick your bad habits–whatever they may be. If a habit is getting in the way of your happiness, it might be one to discontinue. Stay on course! Kick the habit and your days will be filled with happiness.
