“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” Proverbs 10:12. We celebrated “Valentines Day” earlier this week, and, hopefully, we were reminded of how much God loves us. We share that same love with those we love in our lives. Though we do our best to tell our loved ones, spouses, and children that we love them every day. On this holiday, we go the extra mile.
We remember God’s love to us because of His son Jesus. 1 John 4:7-8 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
Meditate on the love of our heavenly Father that is described in the readings of the Gospel book of John. It is full of scriptures on the love of God for us and the way God loves us as His children.
