The holiday season is here! A new season of creating memories with our loved ones to cherish dearly for years to come–pictures with Santa, special holiday meals and holiday cheer.
For some, reminders of our past hurts might get in the way of us creating new memories. We stay stuck in the past, and never move forward. As we read Isaiah 9: 6-7, we remember that when we turn over our lives to God, He does not remember our past. If He doesn’t remember, why should we get stuck in the past?
God gave us His Son Emanuel- meaning, “God with us”- so that we can have hope and a bright future. Let’s make a choice to create new memories with our families this year.
Read this passage for this week, Isaiah 9:6-7, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace.
Jesus is our everlasting hope!
