Have you ever felt like you are in a cycle of repeating a bad habit but just can’t seem to break the cycle? You are not alone. “Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most” (Hebrews 4:16).
Mercy is forgiveness for all the things you’ve done in the past. Grace is the power to change in the future. At the throne of grace, you will not find scolding, punishment, or rejection. When we come to God with our sin, we receive his mercy, and we find his grace.
Wouldn’t you like to have a heart that’s washed clean? No matter how deep the stain of your sin, God can take it out. You can do this by just asking God’s forgiveness and when he does, it is as if your sins never happened. God no longer remembers it. That is how much God loves us that He sent Christ to forgive and wash away our sins, so that we can continue our union with God.
Start fresh today, with repentance. God’s grace is sufficient to meet all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 10).
