RENEWAL is designed to offer hope and comfort to people suffering from mental health disorders or addiction disorders, and support to the people who love them. Our approach is based on respect for the dignity of the people we serve and the belief that through a faith-based program, life-changing results are possible.

RENEWAL: Christian Treatment and Recovery is an optional treatment supplement available through Brookhaven Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At Brookhaven, we understand that when you are suffering from an eating disorder, a personality disorder, a behavioral health disorder or chemical dependency, life can seem utterly hopeless. It can cause Christians to feel abandoned and distant from God. However, by strengthening your spirituality, in conjunction with our professional medical services, you can experience results that you never thought were possible.

RENEWAL is based on the belief in:

God who created us and loves us (Genesis 1:26)
Jesus Christ who redeems us (Isaiah 53:5)
The Holy Spirit who guides us (Acts 1:8)

When you participate in RENEWAL, you’re part of something much bigger than yourself. Brookhaven clients receive expert care from our team of mental professionals. Treatment is solution-focused and success-oriented. Our goal is to minimize symptoms, help individuals address life problems and live fulfilling lives. Sometimes healing requires a helping hand. Did you ever hear that cliché? Time heals all wounds? I believe that to be true. Time has a way of helping our hurts heal. As we move through life, some experiences we have give us great memories while others teach us how to cope. Hopefully, we find a way to praise God in the midst of it all, and allow Him to use the passing of time to help our wounds heal.

Of course, there are some hurts that leave deep scars even though we have found a way to move forward. These scars can be a good thing, a memory of a victory, or the bittersweet memory of the loss of a loved one. We learn over time how to carry those memories, we can choose to how to carry the past and move forward to our future that awaits us. The holiday season can bring up old hurts and scars of the past. Because of this, a time that is supposed to be joyous can actually be very difficult. Shifting toward an attitude of gratitude can help us forgive and have compassion for those who have wronged us. Giving thanks for life, for the air we breathe and knowing that God almighty has us in the palm of his hands always is something to focus on for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

2 Corinthians1:3-4 says, “What a wonderful God we have-He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials …so that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.” On behalf of Brookhaven’s Renewal Program, we bless you and your loved ones on Thanksgiving Day. We wish you a day of great grace when you will be grateful to be alive and grateful to know that God loves us unconditionally.
